Job Description: The Copier Technician’s primary duties include, but are not limited to, performing a
variety of complex technical functions related to the support of activities such as installation,
operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic
or electromagnetic systems. Major responsibilities of this position reside in equipment maintenance
and technical support. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature
and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
- Diagnose and correct equipment and system malfunctions, which fail to respond to standard
corrective measures. Applications may include analog, digital and/or video type circuits and
logic systems. - Prepare reports, charts, and graphs for management personnel to use in making decisions,
which will be instrumental in the ultimate performance of IT xerographic equipment in CAA
locations. - Install and maintain new model equipment. Due to the unique nature of the job site, the
copier technician will be required to install and maintain equipment in a variety of
workspaces. - Establish and maintain necessary record-keeping procedures for service logs, and secure
parts ordering/tracking spreadsheets that will allow for easier training and transition for
future personnel. - Maintain a centrally shared information repository where above information can be
retrieved for future use by copier technicians/engineers. Maintain an inventory of all copiers
and associate parts, kits, and consumables. - Minimum Acceptable Experience Level: The candidate must have two (2) years’ diversified experience in the installation,
operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration and
troubleshooting of electronic or electromagnetic systems.
