Job Description: This position will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the
complete fuel storage and distribution system from the bulk storage, supplementary storage, and day
tanks to the distribution systems to the generators and service station, including backup fuel storage
tanks. The Fuel Systems Technician, Lead will also be responsible for operating and maintaining
pumps and valves, monitoring flow and tank levels, and directing a staff of Local National employees
to successfully operate maintain and repair all fuel operations.
- Be responsible for the fuel operations in accordance with work instructions and safety
procedures directed by the Fuel Systems Supervisor. - Support all petroleum operations conducted on the consulate compound.
- Be responsible for the quality, quantity, and timeliness of fuel distribution and storage
operations.

Page 23 of 59 - Provide guidance and assistance to the fuel personnel through monitoring quality, quantity,
and timeliness of work performed. - Oversee quality, safety, and environmental issues within the Fuels Department.
- Ensure compliance with the SOW and SOP.
- Ensure the fuel section is aware of and comply with government and company policies and
procedures. - Randomly inspect the worksite for deficiencies and initiates corrective action.
- Oversee, review, and ensure all accountability documents are complete, accurate and
submitted on schedule. - Monitor fuel accountability and record keeping ensuring fuel consumption and inventory are
accurate. - Ensure all reporting to the government customer is timely and accurate.
- Operate and maintain a Retail Service Station.
- May be required to drive a fuel delivery truck to deliver, refuel/defuel remote fuel oil tanks
within the compound. - Maintain fuel pumps and storage tanks.
- Responsible to order parts and materials related to the fuel systems.
- Minimum Acceptable Experience Level: One (1) year experience as a Fuel Distribution
System Mechanic.
