Job Description: This position will be responsible for performing electrical requirements on construction, remodeling, or renovation projects. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
• Install typical industrial, commercial, and residential circuitry and general machine circuitry related to construction projects.
• Install or repair any of a variety of electrical equipment such as PLCs, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment, working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
• Locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
• Perform standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
• Use a variety of electrician’s hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
• Read and interpret instructions and documentation and plans work activities.
• Move materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site.
• Complete records, maintain tools and equipment, and perform various clean-up activities.
• Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment (PPE).
- Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:
o Eight (8) years industrial/commercial electrical experience. - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
o Knowledge and experience regarding occupational hazards of the electrical trade, related safety precautions and considerable skill required for the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
o Knowledge and ability to utilize and reference both NEC and BS Code and apply best practice for project safety and completion.
