Job Description:
This position will be responsible for supervising staff, completing reports, and performing administrative duties. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive. The Electrician, Lead maintains and repairs interior building electrical distribution including switchgear, uninterrupted power supplies, wiring, breaker panels, and electrical distribution system, switches, outlets, light fixtures, exit lights, and mounted emergency lights; performs a variety of electrical trade functions including installation,
maintenance or repair of equipment used to distribute or use electric energy; installs or repairs switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; works from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment. The Lead Electrician is responsible for supervising a staff of up to ten Local Nationals, completing reports and performing administrative duties, and is responsible for facility custodianship of work area and management of tools, equipment, and spare parts for the electrical shop.
Minimum Acceptable Qualification Levels:
Experience: Must have 3 years’ experience as a Journeyman Electrician. Must have verifiable experience (1 year minimum) working under an American Journeyman Electrician.
Education Required: High School Education or above.
Language Required: Must be able to read, write and speak English and read English Technical Manuals and wiring diagrams.
