Job Description: The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

  • Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of the facilities and grounds in order to
    determine the type of work required to meet contract requirements.
  • Inspection, maintenance and repair activities to facilities/buildings and structures,
    specifically in terms of roof and roofing systems, exteriors and foundations, and interior
    spaces, as indicated in the paragraphs that follow:
    o Roof and Roofing Systems: To include but not be limited to insulation, gravel,
    flashings, vent stacks, pitch pockets, lighting arrestors, walkways, exposed concrete,
    ladders, sun decks, platforms, parapets, glass sections, and glazing joints, atrium
    expansion joints, storm drains, power, mechanical.
    o Embassy Compound Exteriors, and Foundations: To include but not be limited to the
    concrete and masonry systems, control and expansion joints, exposed or painted
    concrete, glass and glazing materials, solar screen and support structure, sills and
    soffits, nosing’s, control joints, settlement and movement, building and property
    fences, railings, posts, anchors, waterproofing, trench drains, French drains, catch
    basins, erosions, curb inlets, gratings, control joints; and settlement or movement
    conditions and the appearance of all exposed surfaces. Also included is exterior
    monument and building signage, and street signs.
    o Interior Embassy Compound Spaces: To include but not be limited to; glass and trim,
    building hardware to include locks, latch, lock cylinders, closures, and doors frames;
    repair to ceilings, flooring and raised floor systems; repair and refinish and cosmetic
    details to painted areas, carpets, drywall, tile, paneling, wall covering, glass, trim and
    finishes. Also included is interior signage, which includes directional signage and
    room designations.
  • Ensure that operations and maintenance specifications and codes meet established industry
    standards.
  • Maintain company work policies and procedures; review work orders and work order reports
    for accuracy; ensure that the quality of work being performed is completed on-time; inspect
    equipment to ensure it is maintained correctly.
  • Prepare facilities condition assessment reports as required and create work orders (WO) for
    repairs that need to be done by other departments and track to completion.
  • Enforce standards of conduct and performance in the work environment.
  • Plan, organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks under austere conditions to perform job
    functions in an orderly manner.
