Job Description: The Warehouseman will be responsible for ensuring that Government property is properly identified and tracked from acquisition to disposition. The duties and responsibilities listed
below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
• Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.
• Ensure Property Department compliance with Property Management and Control Procedures.
• Assist with inventory of incoming shipments as well as with periodic inventories conducted.
• Unpack, repack, and reconfigure items for proper storage in the warehouse or other locations within the project.
• Drive and/or operate various types of warehouse vehicles or equipment, including but not limited to flatbed trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks and other types of warehouse equipment.
• Issue inventoried items to various Company employees by preparing hand receipts using an automated system.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment and comply with all safety rules & procedures to include personnel protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate with other logistics and project personnel to complete tasks.
• Other duties will require activities such as – unpack, repack, and reconfigure items for proper storage in the warehouse or other locations within the project.
• This is not a supervisory role but does require the ability to coordinate with other logistics and project personnel to complete tasks.
- Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:
o Two (2) years’ progressive experience, in a high volume, multi-unit receiving/inventory or supply management environment.
o Experience with supply chain management (SCM) systems particularly in relation to accurate inventory management.
